Veteran actor and South superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna, recently expressed high praise for music director DSP‘s composition work on his upcoming film Kuberaa.
Speaking about the electrifying soundtrack, Nagarjuna described the experience of hearing DSP’s music as “fantastic” and emphasized its hypnotic quality. “When I heard the song, I thought it was fantastic—it really puts you in a trance,” the acclaimed actor shared, highlighting the composer’s ability to create music that transcends ordinary listening experiences.
The Telugu cinema icon further elaborated on the unique impact of DSP’s composition, and added, “In Telugu, we call it ponakalu – it takes you into that kind of hysteria.” Makers of Kuberaa have so far released 4 songs from the Rockstar DSP Musical, all of which has been super-hit, showcasing DSP’s mastery in crafting music that evokes intense emotional responses from listeners. The use of the word ‘ponakalu,’ which refers to a state of euphoric frenzy in Telugu culture, underscores the powerful connection between DSP’s musical arrangements and the cultural sensibilities of the audience.
