Priya Atlee & Atlee owned Bengaluru Jawans, triumph in the 1st season of World Pickleball League

The first season of the World Pickleball League concluded with a resounding victory for the Bengaluru Jawans, owned by film industry heavyweights Priya Atlee and Atlee.

The team’s dominant performance culminated in a decisive 21-9 win in the finals, marking a spectacular entry for the couple into the world of sports.

 

From day one, the Bengaluru Jawans showcased exceptional skill and determination, setting the stage for their eventual triumph. Their journey through the league served as a powerful testament to Priya and Atlee’s vision for nurturing grassroots sports and providing a platform for emerging athletes.  Beyond the thrill of competition, their involvement underscores a commitment to developing talent and elevating Pickleball in India.

 

Atlee expressed his happiness and said, “In my film, “Bigil” there’s a hook line that says – Cup mukkiyam bigileyyy – Cup is very important. So we won the cup today. Thanks to Oliver and my team. I love my team…The good thing about sport is you learn how to battle. So, I have learnt a lot of stuff in the small format and I am really happy about it.”

 

Priya too added saying, “We are very, very, very, very happy. As I always say, our team is very strong and we believed in our team and our coach… We’re passionate about creating opportunities for emerging talent, and the victory is a testament to their hard work and dedication.”
