It explored themes for friendships in the digital age, mental health struggles, and the tension between online personas and real-life identities, all of which are highly relevant to today’s youth. The film’s relatable characters and modern narrative struck a chord with Gen Z, who saw their own experiences reflected on screen.
At the recent Filmfare OTT Awards, Arjun Varain Singh won Best Debut Director, while Ananya Panday received Best Actor Critics’ (Female) for her standout performance. The film also took home the Best Story award, shared by Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, and Arjun Varain Singh. Kho Gaye Hum Kahan was honored with a Special Recognition for Mental Health Awareness for its sensitive portrayal of mental health challenges in the digital age.
