Abar Proloy to premiere on August 11th, 2023: The First Raj Chakraborty’s Web Series on ZEE5

The launch of the critically acclaimed Bengali thriller series “Abar Proloy,” starring Saswata Chatterjee, Ritwick Chakraborty, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Paran Bandopadhyay, June Maliah, and Koushani Mukherjee, is slated for August 11th on ZEE5.

The action-thriller is Raj Chakraborty’s first-ever online series on the ZEE5 Global platform. Raj directed and produced it, along with Subhashree Ganguly. 

The popular character of Animesh Dutta, portrayed by Saswata Chatterjee, a crime branch officer sent to the Sunderbans to find the deadly mastermind who has been operating a widespread human trafficking ring for years, is brought back in this mass Bengali cop drama that spans ten episodes. 

To complete his goal, Animesh plunges into a web of criminal activity. He begins by rescuing a young Dugga from the grasp of the “Hujjas,” a group of adolescent hooligans who rule the island.

Abar Proloy, a fantastic Bengali crime drama web series, will soon be available on the ZEE5 OTT service. The series, a spin-off of his 2013 film Proloy, was directed by Raj Chakraborty. • Some of Sohini Sengupta’s best-known works include Madhabi: Icche, Haladhar, and Alik Sukh: A Tale of Fleeting Happiness. In 2013, she married Saptarshi Maulik, and they have been together ever since. She was formerly married to Goutam Halder.
• Mohini Maa, played by Koushani Maa for her roles in movies and television shows like Jio Pagla, Antarjal, and Tumi Ashbe Bole, actress Koushani Mukherjee is well known.

The Plot of Abar Proloy

The web series opens with Special Crime Branch officer Animesh Datta travelling to the Sunderbans to apprehend the leader of a dangerous human trafficking ring that is based there. The boss of the ring appears to be an ethereal, invincible devil who is beyond the reach of everyone. 

When Animesh arrives in the Sunderbans, a network of crimes envelops him. He first ran into a bike gang that controlled the island when he began his mission. Then he saved Dugga, a little child, and took her to the hospital. 

However, Dugga is taken away from the hospital. Fortunately, Dugga is saved by female police officer Madhabi, who drops her off at Binod Bihari’s care facility. To learn what occurs after that.

This gripping thriller offers provocative insights into the pervasive problem of human trafficking. The series promises to captivate our viewers while having a lasting impact because it features outstanding performances and an engaging plot.
