Rhea Chakraborty Opens Up on Recieving Death Threats after Sushant Singh Rajput's Death

Death of Popular Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput ignited debates about favoritism and nepotism in the film industry on social media. Many celebrities became victims of online trolling and harassment. Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, Ananya Pandey, Rhea Chakraborty, and Karan Johar have been on the target of netizens ever since the ‘Kai Po Che’ actor’s suicide.

And now Rhea, who was allegedly Sushant’s girlfriend, has raised her voice on the online harassment. Rhea opened up on receiving death threats and being called a ‘murderer’. Rhea posted a screenshot of a death threat she received from a lady on social media and sought help from cybercrime.

She Wrote :

I was called a gold digger ..I kept quiet
I was called a murderer ….I kept quiet
I was slut shamed ….I kept quiet

But how does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me RAPED and MURDERED if I don’t commit suicide @mannu_raaut ?

Do you realize the seriousness of what you have said? These are crimes, and by law no one, I repeat NO ONE should be subjected to this kind of toxicity and harassment .

I request @cyber_crime_helpline @cybercrimeindia to please take necessary action .
