Yesterday, we gave you the news that Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha will grove to the recreated version of famous Marathi song, Dhagala Lagli Kala in Dream Girl. Now we got to know that there is going to be an additional member in the song.
Our Marathi mulga, Riteish Deshmukh will shake a leg with Ayushmann and Nushrat in Dhagala Lagli Kala from Dream Girl.
On the request of the director, Raaj Shaandilyaa, Riteish came on board to be a part of the song.
Riteish said that the song is an all-time favourite dance number. The original featured Dada Kondke which itself was a motivation for him. He said that both Ayushmann and Nushrat are fantastic actors and dancers. It was a fun experience for him to be a part of the song.
Knowing what an amazing dancer Riteish is, it will be a treat to watch him with Ayushmann and Nushrat.
Meet Bros are the composers of Dhagala Lagli Kala. It has been penned by Kumaar and choreographed by Ganesh Acharya.
The recreated version will have a dash of live guitars and electronic programs which will make the song even more dynamic.
While giving insights about the music track, Raaj (director of Dream Girl) shared:
“Dhagala Lagli Kala is a classic, iconic song and we have danced to its tune for years. It is peppy, groovy and compels you to shake a leg. It was Ekta’s (Kapoor, producer) idea to recreate this popular foot-tapping number with the Ganpati festival being around the corner.
We loved the idea, and feel that as a promotional track, it will widen the scope of the film beyond communities. Our first song, Radhe Radhe, celebrates the spirit of Janmashtami and this one releasing during Ganeshotsav will pump up the festivities.”
He added:
“This song has a different vibe and it’s got amazing Marathi parts, which has a rap-like melody that we have sung ourselves. It has got amazing catchy Marathi beats and we have also added some live guitars as well as electronic programs around it. It has ‘let’s dance’ written all over it. And I think this will be the biggest welcome for Ganesh Chaturthi in terms of music.”
Dream Girl, stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Nushrat Bharucha, Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Manjot Singh, Nidhi Bisht, Rajesh Sharma, Abhishek Banerjee and Raj Bhansali. It is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa. Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms are the producers. Dream Girl releases on 13th September 2019.
