Simantinee Roy: Living in United States of America but Dil se Desi, she is a beauty pageant winner (Miss East India – Miss Photogenic and Miss Tripura), an Engineer with double Masters including an MBA, a Singer, a Celebrity Anchor/Host, an Entrepreneur, a corporate professional, most importantly a survivor. Armed with her musical prowess, she’s all geared up to take the Indian Music Industry by storm with her upcoming Debut Single. Her story of how she survived cancer and became the personality who she is today is very heart-warming and awe-inspiring. A woman with many talents, she recently received the Women Empowerment – Inspiration Award. We were fortunate to have a candid conversation. Here is an excerpt.

Simantinee Roy is an Indian born Singer and a celebrity Host, have been an onstage performer since she was nine. This former Miss East India- Miss Photogenic & Miss Tripura is a trained Hindustani Classical Singer. Born and raised in Agartala, Tripura she has completed her Sangeet Visharad (Bachelor’s in Music) and has performed as a Child Artist at All India Radio. She relocated to USA in 2005 and has been performing live since then. Her journey in the world of Bollywood Concerts and Tours started in 2013 and has been a part of 100+ live concerts and tours with all the renowned Bollywood celebrities all across USA and Canada She’s a Civil Engineer, has Masters in Urban & Regional Planning, is a MBA and is currently enjoying her multi- faceted “corpotainment” world. She currently works for Technology Company in Silicon Valley. A cancer survivor she believes in breaking the glass ceiling and not giving up. Music Collaboration:
Starting early 2017 she started to focus more on getting her covers released via her YouTube channel. While the covers give her an opportunity to sing those unforgettable original songs in her own rendition, she is working to get her Debut Originals release mid of 2019. She has been collaborating with one of the finest musicians, singers and Bollywood music composers from the Industry. She has also recently lent her voice for a Hollywood based movie and is set to release soon.
