Kriti Kharbanda: I Was So Shocked To See Dharam Sir On Sets That I Got Nervous

A few days back, we caught up with the leading lady of Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se – Kriti Kharbanda. The actress who will be seen alongside Akshay Kumar in the fourth installment of Housefull was candid as ever in the conversation.

Kriti opened up about her character, how similar she is to it, her experience meeting Dharmendraji, her rapport with Sunny and Bobby Deol, and lots more.

Kriti Kharbanda is a Dharmendra paaji fan and her first interaction with him is proof of it. Telling us about her experience, she said,

“I have been told that I’ll be shooting alone on my first day for YPD. I was so shocked to see Dharam Sir on sets that I got nervous. I touched his feet, said Namasthe and said hello also.”

Continuing,

“Seeing this reaction Dharam sir understood that I’m nervous and he complimented me with “You have a good charm”.

Kriti mouths some awesome Gujarati dialogues in this installment of the comedy riot. Talking about her Gujarati performance in the film she said,

“After watching the trailer, I went back to our director and said that I want to redubb my Gujarati Dialogues.”

She then dubbed those lines thrice again to get them to perfection. Talking further about acing the act of a Gujju she said that her makeup artist and the movie’s AD were Gujarati and helped her with few words.

Talking about the kind of films she is looking forward to be a part of she said,

“Since there are many period drama around, I want to do a period drama.”

When asked which Bollywood actor she would like to work with the Shaadi Main Zaroor Aana actress said,

“Ranveer Singh.”
