Ajay Devgn to star in sports biopic. The biopic is the new trend that is currently going on in Bollywood. After Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Mary Kom, MS Dhoni, Azhar, Soorma, Gold now another Sports Biopic is all set to be made in Bollywood.
Our Singham, Ajay Devgn will be essaying the titular character of one of India’s most famous football coaches, Syed Abdul Rahim in his next.
Zee Studios themselves announced about this news on social media today.

Ajay Devgn starring Ttis untitled movie will showcase the tenure of Syed Abdul Rahim, who has been a football coach and Indian team manager between 1950 and 1963. It will not only showcase achievements but also the journey the team underwent for emerging victorious at certain matches like 1962 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The film will feature south star Keerthy Suresh opposite Devgn. Ajay will play Syed Abdul Rahim, the architect of modern football in India. Syed was the Indian football coach and manager of the Indian national team from 1950 until his death in 1963. Saiwyn Quadros will write the screenplay, while Ritesh Shah will pen the dialogues. The film is presented by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor. Kapoor will also serve as the producer along with Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta.
This will be the first time Ajay Devgn will be seen playing a Biopic of a football coach.
