Sanju Movie Review: A Worse Phase Of Life Brings Out the Best Stories

Bad choices make good stories, aur tum toh bad choices ke king ho!

The opening scene of Sanju, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt, and Dia Mirza as Maanyata literally made us whistle in the theatre. The aforementioned dialogue by Maanyata is something the entire film relies upon! Sanju’s life was no less than a bumpy ride. A drug addict Cassanova, whose entire life is spent on extremely wrong decisions, Sanjay Dutt‘s biopic has everything one could watch out for!

Sanjay and Maanyata wish to share what happened in his life through a biography, it’s the writer who fails to choose the right words for telling the tale of a man who has lived so many lives in fifty years!  After some chase, the couple bump into an ace writer, played by Anushka Sharma, where Sanjay manages to get one hour from her life, which changes his fate in the film. The entire narration in Baba’s own style will surely tickle your funny bone. From his ‘vaat lag gai’ phase to getting his life back on tracks, Sanju has it all!

Sanjay’s bad life decisions tried hard to take this man down, but it was his father, Sunil Dutt, and a family of three – Maanyata and their two kids made him a better person.

Ranbir Kapoor is actually THE HERO in this movie. His uncanny resemblance and perfectly picked body language is evident enough in the entire movie! The entire cast, Anushka Sharma, who plays the role of his writer, Dia Mirza as Maanyata Dutt, Jim Sarbh his frenemy, Manisha Koirala, playing Nargis ji, and Vicky Kaushal have done an amazing job! Paresh Rawal plays the role of his father Sunil Dutt, and his acting skills are remarkable.

With exceptional cinematography, illustrious screenplay, and AMAZING STORY this one is an impressive celluloid experience.

We give Sanju 3.5 stars!
