Naseeruddin Shah is all set for the release of his upcoming family film Hope Aur Hum. What many don’t know is that Hope Aur Hum has an important connection to cricket.
The other protagonist of the film, Anu (Kabir Sajid), is a fan of the game through and through in the movie. But, off screen, Kabir was clueless about cricket entirely. Taking note of, Naseer sir took it upon himself to coach the boy in the ways of the game.
We all know Naseeruddin Sir is cricket enthusiast in his real life and has even hosted a show on cricket – Mid-Wicket Tales. The cast and crew would inadvertently play a couple of overs during breaks. It was during these breaks that the veteran actor would coach Kabir in the game.
Kabir was a good student and diligently learnt the art of his reel life grandfather. They had a great time unwinding on the set and playing cricket helped the entire cast bond better, something that is very evident from the trailer of the flick.
