Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor are very talented actors. The two superstars have acted in a number of films together creating many masterpieces together for Indian Cinema.
The legendary duo have now gone down memory lanes for their upcoming comedy-drama 102 Not Out. The cast and crew of this Umesh Shukla directorial shot a sequence for their film at the same location as the actors 1983 action-comedy, Coolie.
A happy street was created at Trombay where the duo shot two songs for 102 Not Out as well as a few key sequences from the film. Director Umesh Shukla was a bit anxious to ask the veterans to travel all the way to Trombay to shoot. He thought they would ask the set to be created close by. Talking about the same, Umesh said,
“I was a bit skeptical if both of them would travel so far for the shoot, but when I told them that we are shooting at Burma Shell, they got excited, saying that they have a lot of memories attached to the place as they shot for a song in Coolie there. They were more than happy to show up for the shoot, which was quite a relief for me.”
For another scene, it required some music to be played on a gramophone and the team zeroed in on the songs of Kaagaz Ke Phool (1959). The actors shot for the scene while the songs of the film played in the backdrop. Both Amitabh and Rishi started enjoying the songs so much that they let the gramophone play on not just for the duration of scenes, but till the whole album ended.
