Birthday Special: When Aamir Khan Blew Our Mind Away

Aamir Khan celebrates his 53rd birthday today. The talented actor has been bestowed with the Padma Shri in 2003 and the Padma Bhushan in 2010. He also received an honorary title from the Government of China in 2017.

Aamir Khan as Amar in this hilarious comedy is still fresh in our minds to this date. His dialogue ‘Aap purush nahi, maha purush ho’ sure as hell became eternal.

As an inspector trying to curb terrorism and the weapon dealing business across the border, Aamir did an amazing job. He showed that when it comes to serving the nation, friends can take the back seat.
Lagaan
This Oscar nominated film is still very close to us. Aamir and his fellow team mates played the underdogs to the T freeing themselves from the clutches of the British.
Rang De Basanti
As a young citizen of the country, Aamir aka DJ and his group of friends beautifully played the freedom fighters apt to this generation, trying to bring reforms in the country.
Taare Zameen Par
Even though Aamir didn’t play the lead, but a supporting character in the film he still hold a special place in our hearts. Aamir really showed his compassionate side on screen when he helped Ishaan overcome his shortcomings.
Ghajini
A person who suffers from Short Term Memory Lost, and is seeking revenge for the death of his lady love really touched our hearts with Aamir’s magnificent performance.
3 Idiots
Who can forget Rancho. Playing a college student when he was over 40 years didn’t look difficult for Aamir. And this was definitely one of his best performances in my opinion.

Aamir Khan as the alien was a role he essayed with perfection. Be to show the difference between the people of his world and ours or the religious differences in the country or unrequited love.
