After enthralling the audiences with his quirky avatar in Hindi Medium and Qarib Qarib Singlle, Irrfan Khan is back with a bang. He is all set to tickle our funny bones with his next film titled Blackmail. The teaser of the movie is out and it looks nothing short of a laughter riot. Also receiving an incredible response on the teaser of the film, the makers of ‘ “Blackमेल“‘ have released the first poster of the film.
The teaser doesn’t reveal much about the story-line or the plot of the movie, but that’s how teasers are supposed to be, right? Irrfan Khan can be seen running on the streets half-naked and his face covered with a bra-and-panty paper bag that has two eye-holes. But why? The mystery will be unveiled only when the movie hits the screen.
Produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and RDP Motion Pictures’ Abhinay Deo, the trailer of Blackमेल will release on February 22 and the film is set to hit the screens on April 6. On the work front, Irrfan Khan will soon start for Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming gangster drama film, where he’ll portray the character of famous and most wanted underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. The film also stars Deepika Padukone in a lead role and will hit the screens during the Gandhi Jayanti weekend.
Deo, who has directed the film, said: “When I met Irrfan Khan recently, he said please ensure that ‘Blackmail’ has a great release, emphasising that his film’s release date should not suffer owing to his ill health at this time.
“We will ensure Blackmail has a great release.”
Kumar added: “Our prayers are with Irrfan Khan and his family. We are hopeful that he will recover from his illness. As per his wish, we will release ‘Blackmail’ on April 6 in the best possible manner.
The film also features Kirti Kulhari, Divya Dutta, Arunoday Singh, Omi Vaidya, Anuja Sathe, Pradhuman Singh Mall and Gajraj Rao.
