Zee Studios International, in its attempt to make Indian Cinema reach wider avenues and grow international markets for Bollywood films, is now all set to release Aamir Khan’s upcoming movie Secret Superstar in Turkey.
A first of its kind move in the foreign land, the film will release on the same day as in India to encourage viewers to experience Aamir’s magic on the big screen. To mark the milestone release, the superstar is visiting Turkey today, 4th October to formally announce the release of his upcoming film. To ensure desired eyeballs, the film will also be subtitled in Turkish.
Apart from Turkey, the film will also have a world wide release in U.K, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, UAE/GCC, and Pakistan.
On the Turkish release, Vibha Chopra, Head – Zee Studios International (Film Marketing, Distribution and Acquisition) said,
“The love and support Indian films get across the globe is underestimated. They crave for content they can relate to and as a company, we are glad to be able to spread our films far and wide. With a strong and universally appealing storyline and the presence of one of our biggest superstars’, we are confident that the film will receive as much love in Turkey and other international markets, as it does in India”.
With Dangal star Zaira Wasim playing the protagonist, Secret Superstar is an Indian musical drama film that traces the journey of Insia, a 14 year old girl from Baroda, whose dream of becoming a singer changes her life and the lives of everyone around her.
The film has been written and directed by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, Zee Studios and Akash Chawla. Secret Superstar will be distributed internationally by Zee Studios International
