Taapsee Pannu has gotten a lot of notice with Judwaa 2 trailer launch. She also has a South film, Anando Brahma. It’s a horror comedy film and it has been found that Taapsee did not charge anything for the film. She struck a profit-sharing deal with the producers, which is not likely in the south. When Taapsee heard the script and found that there was no scope for a leading hero in the film, which is the major force for the budget of the film, she decided to not ask for money. Taapsee continued to say;
“I am in a position today where I have been saying that I don’t want to repeat the same thing. If this is a chance for me to do something different, I can’t step back just because there’s no money. I genuinely believed in the script and I thought I’d take this risk, which is the biggest gamble of my career.”
Anando Brahma is not a woman centric film, but an ensemble cast. While Taapsee decided not to charge for the film and wait for the profit, she never stopped believing this film had a great meaning and would be worth the audiences money. It has truly paid off, as the film has debuted with great feedback down south.
