Shahid Kapoor in Toilet director Shree Narayan Singh’s next

Shahid Kapoor seems to be picking all the right films. After ‘Haider’ and his powerful performance in ‘Udta Punjab’, he still seems undefeated. This actor will soon be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’, co-starring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. And now, he is the pick for ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’s director Shree Narayan Singh.

“I am thrilled to work with Shahid Kapoor as he brings in certain element of realism to his characters. It is going to be an interesting project with Shahid in the headlines,”

confirmed Narayan.

In fact, this director described his first meeting with Shahid as,

“In my first meeting with Shahid, within the first five minutes, we both decided to work together. That’s the kind of synergy we share. We developed a strong creative equation.”

He further added,

“The film with Shahid is not titled. The scripting is in process. The film will be a drama with a strong social message and human values. It will also have an inherent emotional quotient, reminiscent my previous film.”
