Bhamla Foundation and MCGMs had held an event on 5th June at Bandra Carters road to celebrate Mother Earth on World Environment Day an initiative by Asif Bhamla. Being the 7th year of this event by Bhamla Foundation , the same were graced by prominent personalities like Priya Dutt , Karishma Kapoor, Neha Dhupia , Raveena Tandon , Zayed Khan , Tusshar Kapoor, Arbaaz Khan, Jeetendra, Chunky Panday, Jackie Shroff , Vivian Dsouza, Ayushmann Khurrana and witnessed performances from Ankit Tiwari, Meet , Dharavi Boys, Ayushman Khurana, Shaimik Dawars troop and Dr.Sanket Bhosle.
Bhamla Foundation pledges a drive to plant over 1000 tree and the same is to spread awareness on green objectives , waste management ,conservation of trees and increase plantation to make Mumbai greener.
On the initiative Ayushmann Khurrana stated that as actors we should stop reading scripts on papers but should opt for ipads or tabs to save the trees , Jackie Shroff in his unique style stated that we all are sensible enough and should do what it needs to save nature and be smart and added that we should celebrate other nature and should plant a tree on every occasion let that be someone’s birthday or anniversary . Every personality present were given saplings and spoke about planting trees.
