Acclaimed Actress Fagun Thakrar Garners Coveted Invite To Celebrate The 70th Cannes Film Festival

In a nod to her exceptional accomplishments as an actress and activist, the Cannes Film Festival recognized Fagun Thakrar, the exotic, green eyed British actress with an invitation to the most highly anticipated event in international cinema, the Cannes Film Festival.  Actors and directors including Quentin Tarantino, have launched their careers in this tiny French town which allows the independent film maker’s voice to be seen and heard.

 

Fagun captivated the crowd at the festival’s closing night gala with a floor sweeping golden gown featuring a dramatic train. A black sash added a dash of unexpected contrast and emphasized the actress’s impossibly tiny waist while highlighting her unusual eyes. The plunging neckline provided an elegant backdrop for Fagun’s toned arms as she walked the red carpet along with actress Jessica Chastain, Will Smith and Nicole Kidman.

 

Fagun, a strong supporter of social causes and medical research attended the AmfAR gala in a scene stealing, blush high-low frock at the Hotel Du Cap. AmfAR raises money to support research and eradicate HIV/AIDS.

Fagun Thakrar is a British actress, director and activist with an extensive list of film credits and a strong personal commitment to effecting change on issues impacting women and the world in general.  She has earned critical acclaim for her work in international cinema. Fagun has recently completed a yet to be titled film opposite Brie Larson expected to be released later this year.

Fagun has always shown a great commitment and determination to help people through the arts. Her roles shed light on important issues and narratives. Fagun a former medical student is at work directing a film focusing on meditation and its impact on the brain. She established a non-profit foundation committed to empowering women through creativity, namely through performing, dancing and writing.
