The most awaited twisted entertainer of the year released today and it has already garnered accolades from one and all! Varun Dhawan has many reasons to celebrate as Sriram Raghvan’s thriller film, Badlapur has been getting a lot great reviews and has had a good box office response. The film hit the theaters today (February 20). Badlapur has become one of Varun’s biggest opening overseas!
Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films has provided the audience with a brilliant so-called twisted entertainer. Varun’s bad-ass avatar and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s outstanding performance makes Badlapur a must watch! The film also stars Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam, Vinay Pathak, Divya Dutta, Radhika Apte and Mateen Shaikh.
Badlapur has managed to garner approximately AED 360,000 (Rs 61.02 lacs) which is a tremendous start for a film like this in an overseas market and with Friday and Saturday being holidays, the numbers are anticipated to increase.
When quizzed, trade analyst, Taran Adarsh said,
“The opening is good and the silver lining is the terrific word of mouth. I genuinely feel that the strong word of mouth will translate into box office numbers. Hopefully, the dry spell at Bollywood box office should end with Badlapur“.
