Fans of action superstar Akshay Kumar are set for a cinematic treat as the ever popular actor moves away from his more usual comedy-action roles to portray a villainous and cunning thief in new gritty heist film ‘Special Chabbis!’
Akshay Kumar plays the ruthless and brilliant criminal mastermind ‘Mon Singh,’ who leads a pack of 26 hardened criminals in a re-telling of the real-life 1987 daring daylight jewellery heist in Mumbai’s wealthy suburbs, which sent shock waves across India. The film is directed by cutting-edge director Neeraj Pandey (A-Wednesday, Ek Chalis Ki Last Local) and boasts an all-star cast, including Manoj Bajpai, Anupam Kher and Kajal Aggarwal. The movie is releasing through Viacom 18 Motion Pictures on 8th February 2013.
