In efforts to generate hype for their film and to oust competition ala Golmaal 3 that will also release this coming Diwali, the team of Action Replayy hit the Kaun Banega Crorepati 4 sets to compete and play for charity. Present was the entire team minus lead heroine Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Naturally this put the press into major overtime as they scratched their heads trying to figure out why the Bachchan bahu was conspicuous from this promotional event. And then they figured it out. Ash chose to stay away as the winnings from the game were going to be donated to ex-boyfriend Salman Khan’s charity Being Human. The minute Ash learnt of this, she decided to stay miles away from this particular promotional event.
Without Ash in tow, the team managed to generate a total of 50 Lakhs which they happily gave to the charity. However, Sony TV, channel to KBC 4 were surprised when Ash didn’t turn up as she did not inform them of her absence from the show.
However, Ash’s publicist came out to openly claim that these rumors were baseless. “The story is completely untrue. As far as my understanding goes, family members are not participating on the show,” she explained.
On the flip side, the team of Golmaal 3 also played earlier in the week and were seen having a gala time on the KBC 4.
