As Dhurandhar, backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, completes forty days in theatres, the film’s box office journey merits adulation. Forty days into its theatrical run, Dhurandhar continues to stand at the Indian box office unrivalled, undisputed, and unmatched in cinemas.

The most striking aspect of Dhurandhar’s run is not simply where the film opened, or the milestones it crossed early in its release, but the fact that it has remained the highest-grossing film in cinemas every single day and every single weekend since release, including its 40th day. In a volatile box office scenario like the past few years where new releases are designed to displace incumbents quickly, such uninterrupted run over six weeks is rare. In a rare feat the film has scored double digits for 30 out of its first 31 days’ run, which itself is unprecedented.

Even at this stage, Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar starring a fine ensemble led by Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun among others, continues to collect in numbers, outperforming all competing titles on a day-to-day basis and leading weekend charts comfortably. These are robust numbers that reflect sustained footfalls rather than residual spillover and major repeat viewing that is expected to continue till month end.

Over the course of its run, Dhurandhar has broken multiple box office records across domestic and overseas markets. It has delivered one of the highest net collections ever recorded for a Hindi film in India and has gone on to register a worldwide gross that places it among the biggest Indian theatrical successes to date. Beyond breaking records, it’s been setting new records and benchmarks for Indian film business. More importantly, it has achieved these figures without the sharp post-opening drop-offs that have come to characterise even large-scale releases in recent years. At the end of Week 1, Dhurandhar had collected around 325 crore net in India. In Week 2 the film added approximately 195 crore net during its second week. By the end of Day 14, the cumulative India net stood at 520 crore. The film remained the highest-grossing title each day and across the second weekend.

In Week 3, collections took the cumulative India figure to 655 crore. The film once again led the box office across all days and the third weekend.

Weeks 4 and 5 together contributed approximately 145–150 crore net. Weekend collections during this period remained strong relative to new releases, while weekdays stabilised at consistent levels across circuits. By the end of Day 35, Dhurandhar crossed 800 crore net in India, placing it among the highest net-grossing Hindi films to date.

On Day 40, the film continues to collect in crores. Dhurandhar remains the highest-grossing film of the day and has also emerged as the top-grossing film of its sixth weekend.

The film’s performance across weekends has been particularly telling. Dhurandhar has remained the top choice for audiences, despite new releases entering the fray. This consistency shows repeat viewership and sustained word-of-mouth that traditionally define genuine long box office runs.

Forty days into its theatrical journey, Dhurandhar is no longer being measured against contemporaries alone, but against the benchmarks of the past it has shattered and the new ones it has set, emerging triumphant ahead of all releases in Bollywood till date.
