Actor Nitin Rao, known for his roles in Rajinikanth’s Darbar and Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj, has stepped into a beautiful new chapter of his life. The Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web actor and his wife, actress Gurpreet Kaur, have been blessed with a baby boy, filling their home with joy and celebration.
Sharing his emotions with Times of India, Nitin described the moment he first heard his son cry as deeply overwhelming.
“It was a mix of happiness, relief, gratitude and pure joy. The sound of your baby’s first cry changes something inside you forever. It stays with you for life,” he said.
The actor added that becoming a father has brought a profound shift in his outlook.
“You begin to see the world through a completely different lens. A deep sense of responsibility comes naturally, and it has made me understand my own parents’ journey in a much more meaningful way. Fatherhood truly humbles you in the most beautiful way,” he shared.
At home, everything has already begun to revolve around their little bundle of joy.
“We are making small changes around the house and setting up his space. My family is planning a special surprise with decorations to welcome him home, and that makes this phase even more emotional. The atmosphere feels warmer, calmer and full of positivity,” Nitin said.
When asked about naming their newborn, the proud father revealed that the family is taking their time.
“We are looking for something meaningful — a name that carries warmth, positivity and reflects the love we already feel for our son,” he explained.
Despite juggling the demanding schedules of showbiz, Nitin feels that everything has fallen into place in a beautiful way.
“Shooting schedules are fixed and challenging, especially at this time, but I truly feel the baby has brought blessings with him. It feels like God is managing things for us. Even with everything going on, I was able to attend the premiere of my release and somehow everything worked out smoothly,” he shared.
Nitin is currently being seen in “Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web,” a gripping crime-drama series that delves into the dark world of smuggling networks and law enforcement. The show has been receiving attention for its intense storytelling and powerful performances, with Nitin’s role adding depth and grit to the narrative.
With professional success on one side and personal joy on the other, Nitin Rao is clearly enjoying one of the most fulfilling phases of his life.
