Rising star Ha Yu-jun, a member of band AxMxP, has officially cemented his place as one of Korea’s most promising new actors after winning Best New Actor at the 2025 SBS Drama Awards.

The ceremony, which was broadcast live on December 31, honored Ha Yu-jun for his standout performance in his debut drama, Spring of the Four Seasons. This marks the actor’s first-ever Rookie of the Year award, signaling a powerful start to his acting career.

Taking the stage to accept the honor, Ha Yu-jun expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying,

“I played Sa-gye in Spring of the Four Seasons from last fall to this spring. I sincerely thank the director, writer, all the staff, and senior actors who believed in me and guided me despite my shortcomings. I will try to make 2026 an even better year.”

In Spring of the Four Seasons, which concluded in July, Ha Yu-jun portrayed Sa-gye, a top K-pop idol who leaves his successful band after becoming entangled in an assault incident. His character later finds a new beginning as a member of Hanju University’s band, where his optimistic outlook and infectious energy bring warmth and healing to those around him.

As a real-life band member himself, Ha Yu-jun seamlessly blended his strong vocal and instrumental skills into the role, delivering an authentic performance that heightened the drama’s emotional depth and immersion. His natural portrayal of Sa-gye’s journey from stardom to self-discovery resonated deeply with viewers.

With this Rookie of the Year win, Ha Yu-jun has proven his potential as a next-generation leading actor, while continuing to thrive in music. His band AxMxP debuted in September with their first full-length album, achieving the highest first-week sales for a band debut album and earning the title of “Billboard K-Pop Rookie of the Month for September” from Billboard Korea and Billboard.

AxMxP has also made a strong impression on the live music circuit, performing at major festivals including Beautiful Mint Life 2025, Busan International Rock Festival 2025, PEAKBOX 2025 vol.2: Love, Youth, Happiness, 2025 Someday Christmas – Busan, Inomas Music Series 2, and Countdown Fantasy 2025–2026.

Meanwhile, AxMxP is set to continue their momentum with a comeback on January 21, releasing their first mini-album, Amplify My Way, promising another exciting chapter for the group.

With accolades in both acting and music, Ha Yu-jun is undoubtedly one of the most exciting talents to watch in 2026.
