Choi Lip-woo’s Solo Debut “SWEET DREAM” Sells Over 110,000 Copies in First Week, Solidifying His Solo Stardom

Choi Lip-woo, known from Mnet’s “Boyz 2 Planet”, has made an impressive mark as a solo artist with his debut single album “SWEET DREAM”, which sold over 116,000 copies in its first week, according to Hanteo Chart, Korea’s leading album sales aggregator. Notably, he surpassed 100,000 copies in just three days, highlighting his strong fan support and growing popularity.

Released on December 3, “SWEET DREAM” explores the dual themes of “SWEET” and “DREAM”, capturing both tender moments and the aspirational journey of a young boy chasing his dreams. Upon release, the album immediately topped Hanteo Chart’s Daily Physical Album Chart and Music Chart, signaling a highly successful launch.

The album’s tracks, including the title song “UxYOUxU”, along with “Fresh” and “Hello My Friend”, performed exceptionally well on streaming platforms. They ranked at the top of major music charts such as Melon and Bugs, and Choi Lip-woo also secured 1st place in the male solo category on the Melon Artist Chart as of December 3, demonstrating his growing influence as a solo artist.
