Global girl group KATSEYE is turning up the heat with the release of their bold and bilingual new single, “Gabriela,” the latest track from their upcoming EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, due out June 27 via HYBE x Geffen Records.
“Gabriela” oozes attitude, delivering a fierce Gen Z spin on Dolly Parton’s classic “Jolene.” Infused with rhythmic swagger and simmering tension, the track includes KATSEYE’s first-ever Spanish verse — delivered with fiery confidence by Daniela, a proud first-generation Latina American. The single is produced by Grammy winners Andrew Watt (Lady Gaga, Jungkook) and John Ryan (Sabrina Carpenter), who craft a sound that’s both sultry and anthemic.
But the real drama unfolds in the official music video, which stars none other than Hollywood icon Jessica Alba as the formidable CEO of Gabriela Enterprises. When Alba’s character announces she’s stepping down and searching for a successor, the power struggle begins. Each KATSEYE member pulls out all the stops in a chaotic boardroom battle filled with ambition, sabotage, and style. Directed by acclaimed visual artist Andrew Thomas Huang (Björk, FKA Twigs), the video debuted across MTV Live, MTVU, and the Paramount Times Square billboards.
“Our music video for ‘Gabriela’ is vibrant, colorful, dramatic, and full of heart,” KATSEYE shared. “We leaned into the world of telenovelas because they’re iconic and over-the-top in the best possible way — from the acting to the wardrobe. We tried to honor that spirit while having fun with the concept. It’s all love, all homage, and definitely all drama!”
With “Gabriela,” KATSEYE continues to assert themselves as a multicultural, genre-defying force — blending pop, identity, and storytelling into a sound as dynamic as their lineup.
