Talented actor Aadesh Chaudhary, known for his powerful performances in TV hits like Laagi Tujhse Lagan, Sasural Simar Ka, Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai, and Diya Aur Baati Hum, is back on screen in a fresh avatar with the web series Sabse Bada Rupaiya. In this series, Aadesh takes on the role of a police officer, but with an intriguing twist.

Aadesh shared,

“This time I am playing the role of an honest and sensible policeman who comes to investigate a theft in a village called Mandoli. At first it seems like a normal theft, but gradually the matter reaches to greed for money and madness. This character is very funny and thought-provoking. I like to do roles that are down to earth, and this role is just like that.”

This isn’t the first time Aadesh has donned the khaki; he previously portrayed a police officer in the web series Chitta Ve, which earned widespread appreciation. Reflecting on the experience, Aadesh said,

“Wearing khaki is a different experience. It gives a feeling of a different strength and responsibility. But I like to show the human aspect of the police character – the battle within him, his thoughts, his fear.”

The series was filmed on location in Lucknow, adding authenticity and depth to the narrative. Adesh noted,

“The streets of Lucknow, the culture and the people—all this gave the story a real feel. We shot in real locations and felt a different connection after meeting the people there.”

The title Sabse Bada Rupaiyaa itself carries a powerful message. As Aadesh Chaudhary explained,

“This story shows how greed for money changes people. What started as a theft by a simple school teacher affects the entire village. This story shows the truth of society—it is entertaining as well as thought-provoking.”

While many OTT series today focus heavily on bold content, Sabse Bada Rupaiya stands apart for its clean and family-friendly approach.

“People of all ages can watch this series comfortably. I myself like such content that tells the story not just through scenes but through emotions. As long as a bold scene is not necessary according to the script and is shown sensibly, I am comfortable with it. But I do not accept unnecessary boldness,” said Aadesh.

He believes the series’ biggest strengths lie in its well-crafted characters, engaging story, and a team of talented actors.

“It has comedy, drama, suspense—and most importantly, its simplicity. This series does not try to shock you, but tries to make you feel.”
