Ritik Ghanshani recalls his unexpected reaction upon landing the role in Bada Naam Karenge. “Honestly, my reaction was a little abrupt. As actors, we often detach ourselves from auditions to avoid disappointment. So, I had forgotten about it,” he shares. At the time, he was shooting for Sky Force in Lucknow when he received a call from Rajshri Productions, informing him that he had bagged the role. “I just said, ‘Okay, thank you,’ and kept the call. Then I immediately called my parents—that’s my ritual. My mom was thrilled, but when my dad said, ‘Hey listen, I am really proud of you,’ that’s when it truly sank in. That moment made me realize I was about to work with Sooraj Barjatya sir.”

Discussing his preparation for the role, Ritik emphasizes his consistent approach to every character. “Whether it’s a big film, a small role, or a web series, my process doesn’t change. It’s always about understanding the character,” he explains. Playing Rishabh felt natural as he resonated with the character’s values, having grown up in a joint family in Madhya Pradesh with strong sanskar. “Being raised by my mom and two elder sisters taught me how to carry myself in front of elders, which helped in shaping Rishabh.” He also credits Sooraj Barjatya and director Palash Vaswani for their guidance in keeping Rishabh’s portrayal simple and relatable.
Switching between contrasting roles was a challenge for Ritik. “In Sky Force, I played Panther, which required me to gain 10 kg to fit the uniform as per my director’s vision. But for Rishabh, I had to shed those extra pounds to embody a boy-next-door look,” he reveals. Despite the physical and mental shifts, he finds the process thrilling and rewarding. As Bada Naam Karenge continues to receive love from fans, he expresses his gratitude, “The messages, fan edits, and support make my heart full. As for what’s next—there’s something exciting in the pipeline, and I can’t wait to share more once it’s officially announced!”
