The motion poster for the upcoming film Karmaanya has been officially released, offering a glimpse into its blend of Indian folklore and modern cinematic techniques. Titled Karmaanya – Rise of the Demigod, the film marks the Bollywood debut of Prateek Jain and is set to explore themes of mystery, adventure, and fantasy.

The 51-second teaser features a sequence of visually striking scenes, including a tiger chasing a deer, an eagle in flight, and a lion’s roar, all set against the backdrop of dense forests. Accompanied by tribal music, the teaser also highlights a temple’s grand entrance and concludes with the protagonist’s dramatic appearance alongside a roaring elephant. These visuals suggest an expansive storyline with spiritual and mythical undertones.
Set in the mystical forest of Aranyam, Karmaanya revolves around themes of power, betrayal, and destiny. The narrative focuses on revenge and sacrifice, taking audiences on a mythical journey through a battle for power.
Director Tinu Verma expressed his enthusiasm for the project, noting, “Karmaanya blends Indian folklore with a grand cinematic experience. The teaser offers just a brief look at the mystery and adventure that drive this film. We are eager to begin shooting and bring this unique story to life.”
Produced by Raapraa and BS Films, the film brings together a team led by director Tinu Verma and writer Sahar Qazi. Producers Rajeev Khinchi and Bobby Shah shared their vision for the project, describing Karmaanya as an ambitious endeavor that will be filmed across multiple locations. While Prateek Jain has been introduced in the teaser, additional cast members are expected to be announced soon.
With its combination of folklore, mystery, thriller, and adventure, Karmaanya aims to captivate audiences through its imaginative narrative and visuals. The film makes extensive use of VFX and special effects to enhance its world-building. At its core, the story explores a secret hidden in the jungle and follows the tale of a legendary prince.
Inspired by global successes like Life of Pi and Slumdog Millionaire, Karmaanya aspires to transcend borders and resonate with audiences worldwide. Set for release in 2025, the film is also in the process of signing with a U.S.-based production house, further expanding its reach on a global cinematic platform.
