Srivastava shares about the inspiration behind his EP and how it came to life.

“For the four songs, two of these four songs were composed in 2020, and the EP was going to be produced no matter what. It was tough to complete the EP over the years, but I had a whole team behind me to complete it.”

For Srivastava, his family was a huge inspiration and motivating factor behind creating and publishing the EP.

“My life’s inspiration is also my family, not just for my EP. Everyone was incredibly supportive.”

Even though the EP consists of four songs, Srivastava explains that every song in the EP is different.

“Starting from “Sahiba”, which is a very Bollywood, commercial song, to “Lage Na”, a very slow and semi-classically oriented song, every song is different in its own nature. When we sat down to create each song, we tried to bring something new to each single.”

For “Savera”, Srivastava worked with T-Series to create and produce the EP, and as an indie artist creating an EP for the first time, he and his team ran into many different challenges.

“For “Lage Na” my concept was very clear that I wanted the flute to be prominent, and for “Sahiba”, I wanted to keep the Bollywood feel.”

T-Series has been working with several new independent artists to produce their singles and EP’s, and Srivastava explains why that’s an advantage, from what he saw in his personal experience.

“When a big label works with you, so your personal growth is great. For example, T-Series is very good about asking for my artistic liberties, etc. so that was a great thing to have when working with them”
