Garvit and Priyansh are the new singer-producer duo in town, who recently released their debut EP “Lafz” on Spotify and Youtube. The two met through a mutual friend, and started working on a few songs together, eventually releasing their first song “Sanware”.

Neither of them started off professionally as musicians, and in fact were studying engineering before launching their music business two years ago. Priyansh explains that they both clicked after they started working together, and even if they have creative differences, they’re able to work together to solve them.
“We are two different people, we have different perspectives, so whenever we both sit down to make music, we both know that whatever we’re saying is in the best interest of the song, we want to make the best for Garvit X Priyansh, so we have a mutual understanding that no one is trying to overpower the other person.”
For the artists, they live and breathe their entire music process in their home studio, and work from start to finish together. They both compose, produce and sing together, so they’re able to work on their music for hours on end, which eventually led them to be able to produce their EP with T-Series.

They both acknowledge that they had the privilege of being able to pursue music full time and not necessarily have to worry about the day to day finances, since it took some time for their music to take off.
“When we decided to form a duo and do it full-fledgedly, we both were in our college, and when we decided to become a duo, it was clear for us. We both moved to Bombay, we rented a place, we got our studio done, and we started working together. We trusted our art enough and we had faith in our art.”
Garvit x Priyansh’s management team also played a huge role in helping their music get off the ground, through investments and production partnerships, which assisted them in landing their EP ‘Lafz’ at the front door of T-Series. The duo were at the forefront of the production process for all four singles in the EP in order to make sure that the songs were perfect before being released.
Both Garvit and Priyansh wanted to make sure that fans were able to connect with at least one song in the EP, and they explained the thought process behind creating each single.
“We love exploring different kinds of music, so what we tried in this is to capture a different audience for each song. We wanted everyone to relate to a song in the EP, and wanted to tell people that songwriting isn’t actually that difficult, you just have to follow your heart and express what you really feel.”
