“Learnt a lot working with Vidya Balan in Shakuntala Devi,” Says Adi Chugh

Adi Chugh, a London-based international Actor, whose career spans across screen as well as theatre globally.

It will be starring in the much-awaited Shakuntala Devi featuring Vidya Balan, directed by Anu Menon.

The versatile actor plays the role of Kartar, a friend of Shakuntala Devi when she visits London.

Having spent a few years in Banking and Strategy Consulting in New York, Delhi and London. Adi Chugh decided to pursue a career in acting, his lifelong hobby.

He trained in England to further hone his craft in theatre, film and voice. At the prestigious Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. The school accepts only 14 students a year and has an incredible alumni of Oscar, Emmy & BAFTA winning actors including Daniel Day Lewis.

When asked about acting alongside Vidya Balan, the actor said,

“Working with Vidya Ma’am is like realising a beautiful dream. Her professionalism on set combined with her bubbly and positive personality was very uplifting. As an artist, watching her perform was like attending an acting masterclass from one of my favourites, which no training could have taught me.”

Adding further he said,

“She was very supportive and approachable. It was indeed a great experience working with such a talent.’’

Apart from Shakuntala Devi, Adi has also starred in the international film ‘Three Dots and A Dash’, alongside Vinay Pathak.

Also, he was the part of ZEE 5 Premium’s Web Series ‘Never Kiss Your Best Friend’ alongside Nakuul Mehta and Anya Singh.

Additionally, the actor can be seen in international brand ads. It several short films and past theatre shows across the UK, US, Europe and India.
