Sara Ali Khan Reveals She Had Met Kartik Aaryan Before Ranveer Singh Introduced Them

Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan are all set for their upcoming film Love Aaj Kal. The film releases this Valentine’s Day.

While the two are being paired together and are still to address the development in question, Sara had a confession to make recently when she appeared on Pro Music Countdown.

In July last year, when she put up a post thanking her director Imtiaz Ali for the memorable film, Ranveer Singh was quick to point out that he had played cupid between her and Kartik Aaryan. But Sara revealed on the show that she had met her leading man much before Ranveer Singh tried to bring them together.

According to her, “We kept up the lie to make Ranveer happy because he is a sweetheart.”

Sara and Kartik’s first film together happened after the actress confessed on Karan Johar’s chat show that she had a crush on the actor and would like to pair up with him on screen.

When Kartik expressed interest in working with her as well, incidentally on the same show, Ranveer took it upon himself to make it happen, introducing them during an award show.
