Abhishek Bachchan stepped into the Bollywood industry in the year 2000 with J P Dutta’s Refugee. Despite being a mega star’s son, Jr. Bachchan struggled to find a footing during his initial years. After struggling for a time he finally got recognition in 2004 with the acclaimed Yuva and action entertainer Dhoom. After that, there was no looking back for the actor.

In this Mani Ratnam directorial, Abhishek played a goon from Bihar – Lallan Singh, who works as the muscle for politician Prosenjit Bhattacharya. Abhishek stole our hearts in this movie.

Dhoom (2004)

In this Yash Raj Film, Bachchan plays the role of ACP Jai Dixit, who is on the hunt to catch a group of robbers who escape on bikes before they pull off another heist. We then saw him reprise the same character in the Dhoom franchise.

Bunty Aur Babli (2005)

In this rom-com, Bachchan played Rakesh Trivedi, a guy who wants to make it big and adopts conning others as a way to do so. Using the alias Bunty, he along with his partner in crime Babli essay different people to get what they want.

Bluffmaster (2005)

Abhishek Bachchan essays the role of Roy Kapoor, a con-artist who himself gets conned by the end of the film. There is no doubt he showcased his acting capabilities in this film.

Guru (2007)

Guru is a film loosely based on the life of late business tycoon Dhirubhai Ambani. Released in 2007, the film saw Abhishek plays the titular role, Gurukant Desai. This Mani Ratnam directorial is considered one of and even earned him a Filmfare nomination for best actor.

Guru follows the life of Gurukant Desai who dreams of making it big someday.

Dostana (2008)

Abhishek played the role of Sameer “Sam” Kapoor. In this film he pretends to be gay in order to get accommodation at a flat only to falls in love with the hot & sexy female flatmate.

Happy New Year (2014)

In Happy New Year, Abhishek plays double roles – one is Vicky Grover, the son of a wealthy businessman and the other is Nandu, a drunkard small town guy. We still remember his naagin dance.
