Jersey: Shahid Kapoor Gets Injured During Shoot

Shahid Kapoor is an exceptional actor who had given us amazing films. His last hit Kabir Singh broke many box office records. He will soon he seen in Jersey and his fans have been overexcited.

But here is some sad news – Shahid Kapoor got hurt while shooting the sport drama, Jersey.

Says a source,

“It was all fine till this afternoon. Shahid had come to give his shot. It was at the cricket pitch and he had to shoot a few portions of the sport today. But after sometime, he got hit by the ball on his head suffered an injury. The bouncer hit him right above his eyes.”

He was rushed to the hospital immediately. Adds the source,

“He is fine now. But the injury was a deep cut so he had to get 13 stitches. Mira (Rajput) has rushed to Chandigarh now on hearing the news. There’s nothing to worry anymore.”

Says a source close to the film,

“Shahid was playing perfectly fine and the shot was about to start. However, he got hit by a cricket ball in the middle of the practice unfortunately. He is taking the necessary treatment. As a thorough professional Shahid will resume the shoot in 4 – 5 days once he is better.”

We recently brought you the news that Super 30 actress Mrunal Thakur will play the lead opposite Shahid. This will be the first time the two will share screen space together. Talking about the film this is what she said,

“So deep was the impact of the film that I couldn’t get it out of my heart the whole night, and immediately watched it again the next day. It felt like I had lived a full lifetime in two hours.”

Another person who is part of this film is Pankaj Kapur. The real life father-son will be sharing screen space after four years. Kapur will play a mentor to Shahid’s character and will be a strong pillar of support to him. During a media interaction, the actor admitted that he is excited to be a part of the film, he said,

“Jersey is a strong story-driven by emotions. Working with Shahid has always been interesting. I admire his ability to portray emotions beautifully.”

Jersey is the Hindi remake of the Telugu film starring Nani as a struggling cricketer. Since the day the film was announced, Shahid has been working hard to ace the role of a cricketer. Gowtham Tinnanuri will direct this film. It is produced by Allu Aravind, Aman Gill and Dil Raju. The film will release on August 28, 2020. The film will be shot across locations in the next two-three months.
