Pranitha Subhash And Meezaan To Star In Priyadarshan’s Hungama 2

Priyadarshan, the filmmaker who has given us amazing films like Hera Pheri, Hungama, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag, Bhool Bhulaiyaa is all set to entertain us once again. The talented director is all set to treat us to Hungama 2. He has now revealed who the leading actor for this film is. Any guesses? The actors are none other than Bollywood actors Meezaan and South actress Pranitha Subhash.

Pranitha is a prolific Bengaluru-born actress who has done films in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. The actress will make her Hindi debut opposite Ajay Devgn in Bhuj: The Pride Of India. Meezaan, the son of actor Javed Jaffrey, made his Bollywood debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2019 film Malaal.

Priyadarshan is all praise for Pranitha Subhash. The director said,

“The minute she walked in for the audition I knew she was the one. I’ve signed Pranitha for Hungama 2 with Meezan. I am very happy with my casting. The pair is fresh and excited about working in my film. They don’t have the jaded seen-it-all attitude of some established stars. Not yet.”

Talking about Meezaan being in the film, Priyadarshan said,

“The boy is terrific on-screen. He is a fabulous dancer like his father, emotes and fights well too. There is nothing he can’t do.”

Meezaan said,

“I am a big fan of Priyan Sir and really looking forward to working with him.”

The original Hungama featured Akshaye Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani, Rimi Sen, Paresh Rawal and Shoma Anand in the lead roles. Hungama is an adaptation of Priyadarshan’s Malayalam film Poochakkoru Mookkuthi, which released in 1984.
