A madcap comedy that says, ‘dimag mat lagana‘ but then somehow sets us all in the vibes of being an Indian first.

The story that rolls us into comedy starts with Rajkishore (John Abraham) as a misfortune magnet who leaves a trail of bad luck in his wake.

Along with his friends Chandu (Pulkit Samrat) and Chunky Arshad Warsi), Rajkishore runs up a debt, which forces the trio into the employment of gangsters Raja (Saurabh Shukla) and Wifi (Anil Kapoor). Meanwhile, a pair of rival under lords keep trying to bump off Raja and Wifi and keep failing.

A bigger criminal than this inefficient bunch is Niraj Modi (Inaamulhaq), clearly modeled on the fugitive diamantaire. That’s one reason the movie is set in London. Another seems to be to give everybody on the set a trip abroad. This works out nicely for the characters played by Brijendra Kala, Zakir Husain and Mukesh Tiwari.

They get to take in the British weather and run amok in public squares, parks and castles. However, they keep getting tripped up by the pedestrian writing and severe shortage of engaging characters and imaginative gags. The film also stars Kriti Kharbanda and Ilena D’Cruz as the love interest of Chandu and Rajkishore.

Anees Bazmee’s Pagalpanti comes up with a mixed bag of stale gags and unleashes unbridled buffoonery in an attempt that takes a hilarious turn to the comedy. Even though the jokes of the film are silly, the humour is lame. Fans may fall in love with this Anees Bazmee comedy as they loved Welcome and No Entry.

The flow of the film was good and has captured the laugh riot at the intervals. Later it takes us to the horror zone when Urvashi Rautela enters.

Talking about the performances, all the male lead characters John Abraham, Arshad Warsi and Pulkit Samrat has done their job well as RajKishore, Chandu and Chunkey. Also, Anil Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla have done their job well as Raja and Wifi. They have made us all laugh out loud in some of the scenes in the film. The lead actresses, Kriti Kharbanda, Ilena D’Cruz and Urvashi Rautela has totally done justice to their roles. Also, the other character in the film has portrayed their character well.

We give Pagalpanti three stars and you can enjoy your weekend over this film.
