The actor, who isn’t a fan of the horror genre, will be venturing into this type of films for the first time. We now hear that the film is inspired by a true incident that took place in Mumbai.

As per the source of a leading daily,

“Vicky Kaushal is foraying into the horror genre for the first time. The fact that Bhoot… is based on a true incident that happened in Mumbai, got him excited about it. This film is not for the faint-hearted and unlike the horror-comedies we’ve seen. It will revolve around a ghost ship that washed ashore on the coast a few years ago. Besides the fact that there were no crew members on board the unnamed ship, the spooky part is that it went completely undetected when in entered Indian waters and officials were only alarmed when it ran aground off the coast.”

Well, we are surely awaiting the release of the film.

Recently, Vicky Kaushal revealed why he can watch the horror film. He said:

“Main bohot darta hoon. I think Bhoot meri pehli horror film hogi jo main dekhunga, kyunki maine khud hi acting ki hai aur mujhe pata hai kya hone wala hai (laughs). So, I will be fine. I always think main bada hogaya hoon abhi, toh main dekh sakta hoon (I think I have grown up and I can watch horror films), but nothing has changed.”

Apart from this, there is a buzz that the film also revolves around zombies.

Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship stars Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar. It is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan under the banner of Dharma Productions. It will hit screens on February 21, 2020.
