Kangana Ranaut’s got a lot of appreciation for her performance in her last film JudgeMentall Hai Kya. The actress has started prepping for her next which is Jayalalithaa’s biopic.
Jayalalithaa biopic starring Kangana is a trilingual film releasing in 3 languages – Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Now we hear it may take the name Thalaivi in all the three languages.
Director AL Vijay plans to take the project on the floor by the end of September. The Jayalalithaa biopic was going to get a name Jaya in Hindi and Thalaivi in the other two languages. But now we hear that it is going to get the same name across all three languages.
Kangana Ranaut told the makers that the film might benefit if it had the same title across languages.
The actress gave a suggestion that the film’s title should stay true to its milieu. And that many Hindi films have titles in different languages. The makers were apprehensive that the name Thalaivi would alienate the audiences which are not familiar with the name. But, they are considering Kangana’s recommendation.
The actress will also shoot a dance number. Since Jayalalithaa was an actress before becoming a politician, they will be filming the song soon with over 100 background dancers.
Earlier Vidya Balan was going to do the Jayalalithaa biopic, but due to some creative differences, she opted out and Kangana came on board.
It will really be exciting to see Kangana doing a biopic and if the Jayalalithaa biopic gets the name Thalaivi major credit should go to the actress.
