Akshay Kumar is packed for the upcoming year with all the movies that he is working on. The king of action has got himself major films like Laxxmi Bomb, Bachchan Pandey, Housefull 4, Good News and Sooryavanshi.
Laxxmi Bomb is the Hindi remake of Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana and co-stars Kiara Advani. The film will release on Eid 2020. Bachchan Pandey is set to release on Christmas 2020.
Besides Akshay, Housefull 4 also stars Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, Bobby Deol, Rana Daggubati, Riteish Deshmukh, Chunky Panday, Saurabh Shukla, Johnny Lever, Jamie Lever, Pooja Hegde and others. Good News, which stars Diljit Dosanjh, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani, will release by the end of this year. Next in line is Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi which also stars Katrina Kaif. This cop drama is set to hit theatres on March 2020.
With Bachchan Pandey, Sajid Nadiadwala and Akshay Kumar will be collaborating for the 10th time. The film was in works for the longest time. Bachchan Pandey is a massy entertainer with loads of one-liners tailor-made for Akshay.
It is said that the makers spent a lot of time designing this look for the actor. They have locked the script and are currently working on pre-production work before they take the film on the floor by February 2020.
While speaking to an entertainment portal, Sajid Nadiadwala recently said,
“We had this idea for a really long time. We were working on and off on it. When the right screenplay came to us, right dialogues, Akshay started reading the dialogues, we knew that this character was very strong. We had to name the film after the character. We needed time since all the people involved had invested time in Housefull 4. So Farhad Samji also needed time. So we needed a little about at least a year to release the film. That was the ideal date we thought. So we are ready with the screenplay and everything but we start by February next year”.
Directed by Farhad Samji, Bachchan Pandey will release on Christmas 2020.
