Varun Dhawan, who was last seen in Kalank is currently busy working on Street Dancer 3D opposite Shraddha Kapoor. After giving us hit films like Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2, the father-son duo are all set for their next which is the remake of Coolie No 1 also starring Sara Ali Khan.
Paresh Rawal was previously brought on board to play the role of Kader Khan in the remake of Coolie No 1. Now it’s confirmed that he is going to play the role of Sara’s father, Hoshiyar Chand.
There have been improvisations made to the character of Hoshiyar Chand based on modern day scenarios.
The storyline of the film would remain the same but there have been brought changes to the script of the film. Paresh Rawal, Sara, and Varun along with the other cast members would be heading to Bangkok for a 20-day shoot schedule. Post which they would head to Goa to continue shooting.
Sara would be playing the role of Karisma Kapoor. There have been rumors that the role of the second actress would be played by Disha Patani. The film is said to go on floors on August 5.
Coolie No 1 originally directed by David Dhawan starred Govinda, Karisma Kapoor and the late actor, Kader Khan. Iconic songs like ‘Husn Hai Suhana’ and ‘Main Toh Raste Se Ja Raha Tha’ would be recreated. The film is said to release on 1st May 2020.
