The trailer of Boney Kapoor’s Tamil venture starring Ajith was unveiled on Wednesday evening and many from Bollywood were surprised to see how fans react down south. Ajith’s fans in Chennai were on roads with Band Baja and the posters of the film to ensure there is enough noise around the trailer. Few groups even booked theatres just to see the trailer on the big screen, While few cut cakes with the poster. The trailer in a few hours had crossed 5 million views which is no small feat. The south fans surely are at a different level when it comes to idolizing their heroes.

Nerkonda Paarvai (transl. Direct Gaze) is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language legal thriller film written and directed by H. Vinoth, produced by Boney Kapoor and co-produced by Zee Studios. The film is a remake of the Hindi film Pink, the film stars Ajith Kumar, Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang (reprising her role from the original film) in the lead roles. Rangaraj Pandey and Adhik Ravichandran will act in pivotal roles. Nirav Shah is the NKP’s cinematographer. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing the film score and soundtrack. The film is scheduled to release on August 10.
