Just yesterday we brought you the news that Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 4 are likely to clash at the box office on Christmas 2020. Now we hear that we will be seeing another clash at the ticket window — and that too much sooner. According to the most recent announcement by the makers of Mental Hai Kya, the Kangana Ranaut-Rajkummar Rao starrer will clash with Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 on July 26.

Kangana and Hrithik have a bad relationship with both parties washing their dirty linen in public. Now it seems they are going to clash on the big screen in July this year.

Mental Hai Kya was earlier scheduled to release on June 21 but a statement issued by Balaji Telefilms today announced a change in the date. It read:

“A lot is being reported about Mental Hai Kya clashing with another film at the box office on 26th July. The shift in the release date is a decision taken after recommendations from the distributors, trade analysts and a top research team, keeping in mind the other releases a week before and after this date. We have thus been advised to shift the release of our movie to 26th July, purely for business prospects. On knowing that there is already a movie scheduled for a release on that date, we did everything in our purview to ensure the other parties that there will be no mudslinging and it will be a dignified release. We stand by assuring that to all other parties. This is a call taken by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji telefilms considering better prospects for the movie at the box office. Balaji Telefilms’ condemn the reports being circulated and would like to state that Mental Hai Kya will be releasing on 26th July to ensure better business growth and prospect for the film.”

Directed by Vikas Bahl, Super 30 is based on the life of Indian mathematician Anand Kumar and his educational program. Super 30 was earlier scheduled to release in the same weekend as Kangana’s Manikarnika but was postponed to July 26 owing to pending post-production work.

On the other hand, Kangana’s Mental Hai Kya was supposed to release on June 21, but is now postponed to July 26.

Let’s wait and see what happens next!
