Earlier Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan starrer Kalank was to be titled as Shiddat by Karan Johar and now the same title has been used by producer Dinesh Vijan.
Today morning Dinesh Vijan announced his next production starring Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan, Mohit Raina and Diana Penty.
Speaking on the title of the film, Dinesh Vijan said:
“Yes, the title was with Karan Johar and he was kind enough to give it. The word Shiddat captures the true essence of the film and it’s a perfect title for it.”
Talking about the movie, he said:
“Well I got married recently, so I’m feeling it! But on a serious note in our day and age where love is taken so lightly, it’s difficult to imagine the lengths people would go to for it. Shiddat is not only a story about love but the distance one travels for it. The passion that overcomes maybe all senses or logic to do things that you wouldn’t usually imagine, the belief in something with all your heart and the drive to achieve it- that’s Shiddat.”
Written by Sridhar Raghavan and directed by Kunal Deshmukh, the film is expected to release in summer 2020.
