Remember the hit horror comedy movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa, starring Vidya Balan and Akshay Kumar, which made us go LOL but at the same time scared the shit out of us? Well, we got to know that the hit movie is coming up with a sequel.
While Priyadarshan directed the original Bhool Bhulaiyaa starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, the new film will be written and directed by Farhad Samji.
According to sources:
“Bhushan wanted to make a part 2 of Bhool Bhulaiyaa for a while now and has cracked an idea with Farhad Samji, who will be writing and directing the film. It is in the development stage and will feature a fresh cast. Once the final script is locked, the team will kick off casting and other pre-production formalities.”
Bhushan Kumar’s production house T-Series has registered the title Bhool Bhulaiyaa and will soon start working on the project.
The original, directed by Priyadarshan, revolved around a couple played by Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja, who decide to stay in their ancestral home, paying no heed to the warnings about ghosts on the premises. Soon, mysterious occurrences force him to call his psychiatrist-friend Dr. Aditya Shrivastav (Akshay Kumar) to bail them out of the situation.
Farhad Samji, who is directing the film, is presently busy with Akshay Kumar starrer Housefull 4.
