Zee5 To Wow Audiences Again With New Series – ‘POISON’!

Since it launched in 2018, ZEE5 has been introducing the public to a string of original productions.  After the success of its recent originals like Rangbaaz, The Final Call, Abhay, and Karenjit Kaur – The Untold Story of Sunny Leone, ZEE5 has announced its newest show – POISON. The show boasts of a star-studded cast, which includes Arbaaz Khan in his digital debut, the gorgeous Riya Sen, as well as actors Tanuj Virwani and Freddy Daruwala.  The ten-episode web series will premiere for global audiences on April 19th 2019.

Produced by Altus Media, directed by Jatin Wagle and written by Shiraz Ahmed, POISON is a dark mystery thriller with multi-layered characters, each having their own hidden agendas.

Set in Goa, the story kicks-off with Ranveer (Tanuj Virwani), who, after completing his jail sentence, is on a mission of retribution. A journey of danger and intrigue, filled with secrets, this fast-paced thriller captures the essence of a man who is so focused on his vendetta that he won’t let anyone or anything stand in his way.

Speaking about the show, Director Jatin Wagle said, “The web medium has given wings to content that cannot be shown in two or three-hour format and needs a longer duration format to bring the story to life. I am glad that I had the backing of a platform like ZEE5 and the cast who had the confidence to present the show the way I had envisioned it.”
