Fondly known nationwide as Netaji, Subhas Chandra Bose was one of the core fighters who fought for India’s independence. He was even under house arrest by British which he easily outsmarted through & went to Germany. He revamped the Indian National Army or also known as Azad Hind Fauj.

  1. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero

This movie directed by veteran director Shyam Benegal. Bose’ role was enacted by Sachin Khedekar. The movie also featured actors like Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Rajit Kapur, Arif Zakaria, & Divya Dutta to mention a few. The film received wide critical acclaim at the BFI London Film Festival and has garnered the National Film Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration, and the National Film Award for Best Production Design for the year 2004.

This movie directed by the very talented Mahesh Manjrekar is the story of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose who comes into the life of struggling Debabrata (portrayed by Mithun Chakraborty and through him, Netaji helps to awaken the Bengalis from “sleep” and act like a superhero.

Rajkummar Rao portrayed the role of Subhas Chandra Bose in this ALTBalaji series which gained critical acclaim at IVM. It is based on the book India’s Biggest Cover-up by activist Anuj Dhar.
