Ben Affleck’s Tweet About The Batman Will Dishearten You

After Christopher Nolan, Ben Affleck took the torch of playing Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and Justice League.

But there is some bad news for Ben Affleck’s fans!

As per a report by Hollywood portal Deadline, Ben Affleck will not wear the dark knight’s tights this time. Ben too confirmed the same on Twitter. He tweeted:

 

Ben will not return as Bruce Wayne aka Batman for the Matt-Reeves-directed standalone Batman movie. The movie set to release on June 25, 2021, will revolve around the life of younger Bruce Wayne. A search is underway for a new Dark Knight.

 

The Batman will not be based on Frank Miller’s Batman: Year One comic which is one of Reeves’ favorites in the Caped Crusader canon.

 

Talking about the upcoming Batman movie, Matt revealed a lot about the plot during his interview with Slash film. He said:

“Obviously, we’re not doing an origin tale or anything like that. We’re doing a story that is definitively Batman though, and trying to tell a story that’s emotional and yet is really about him being the world’s greatest detective and all the things that, for me, since I was a kid, made me love Batman.”
