Yami Gautam is a stellar actress who has given us memorable performances with Vicky Donor and Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The actress is now set to make us fall in love with her in URI: The Surgical Strike.
Yami’s will be seen in an all-new avatar playing the role of an Intelligence officer in the military drama film. The film is based on the surgical strike conducted by the Indian Army in Uri Kashmir in 2016. To get into the skin of the character she had to shorten her hair to add authenticity into the look of an intelligence officer.

Ms. Gautam will play the female lead while Vicky Kaushal essays the part of the lead in the operation. The film also stars Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari and Mohit Raina in pivotal roles.
Directed and written by Aditya Dhar, it is produced under Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP. URI is slated to release worldwide on January 11, 2019.
